Bank of Communications was founded in 1908, and is one of the six largest banks in China, as well as one of the oldest banks in China and one of the issuing banks in modern China, its head office is located in Shanghai. Following the arrangement of strategic cooperation between Bank of Communications and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, Bank of Communications Pacific Credit Card Center was officially announced on October 25, 2004, whose main business includes issuing credit cards in domestic and foreign currencies; handling credit cards business includes deposits, loans, settlements, remittances and foreign exchange business in domestic and foreign currencies; agent for all kinds of domestic and foreign bank card acquiring services as well as the issuance, payment and fund clearing services of credit cards of foreign financial institutions and international organizations.

Founded on February 8, 1996, Bank of Nanjing is a joint-stock commercial bank with an independent legal personality. Bank of Nanjing has undergone two name changes, with shares acquired by IFC and BNP Paribas in 2001 and 2005 respectively, and was the first among urban commercial banks in China to start the listing counselling process and successfully listed in 2007. As of the end of September 2021, the company had a registered capital of RMB 10.007 billion, assets of RMB 1.7 trillion, total deposits of over RMB 1 trillion and total loans of over RMB 780 billion, and net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies of RMB 12.3 billion in the first three quarters, nearly RMB 3.9 billion in a single quarter for three quarters. It currently has 17 branches and 215 banking offices. The bank has been ranked 109th and 98th respectively in the list of the top 1000 global banks and the top 500 global bank brands ranking by the British magazine The Banker. It is also ranked 21st in the list of "Top 100 Banks in China" by China Banking Association. Bank of Nanjing continues to expand its branch network. Since the establishment of the first branch in 2007, Bank of Nanjing has continued to promote cross-regional operation and has set up 17 branches in Taizhou, Shanghai, Wuxi, Beijing, Nantong, Hangzhou, Yangzhou, Suzhou, Changzhou, Yancheng, Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Suqian, Lianyungang, Jiangbei New Area, Xuzhou and Huai'an. In 2016, the Bank of Nanjing achieved full coverage in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou as well as the municipalities in Jiangsu Province. It was the first bank in China to implement off-site equity acquisition of other city commercial banks, and it became the largest shareholder of Bank of Rizhao, as well as taking a stake in other financial institutions such as Jiangsu Financial Leasing. It initiated and established two community banks, invested in the formation of fund management companies, and has been exploring comprehensive operations. China Everbright Bank (CEB), established in August 1992 and headquartered in Beijing, is a national joint-stock commercial bank approved by the State Council of China and the People’s Bank of China.
